7 Tips To Pray Qiyammulail by Sheikh Saad Tasleem

7 Tips to Pray Qiyammulail by Sheikh Saad Tasleem:

*The best time is the last 1/3rd of the night*

1) Take it easy!
We might be motivated to do our best by praying long prayers for Qiyammulail. However, we should be consistent on it.

Prophet Muhammad SAW has said:

"The most beloved actions to Allah, are those done consistently even if it is less."

Even if you are doing little(praying only 5/10 minutes), it is still alright as long it is consistent.

2) Make the intention to pray Qiyammulail before going to the bed.

Prophet Muhammad SAW has said:
"If a person made an intention to pray Qiyammulail but he missed it, the person will be rewarded for the intention and the sleep will be a sadaqah for them"

3) Tell someone that you will wake them up for Qiyammulail

★This will force you to wake up as you are responsible for them now:).

☆ And, you will be rewarded for yourself and for other person.

Prophet Muhammad SAW has said:

"Someone who starts good or encourage others to do a good deed will have the reward for their own action and the rewards for others who followed that action until the Day Of Judgement. "

4) Go to sleep early.

★It might be difficult but we know that Prophet Muhammad SAW disliked to stay up late.

☆Do not only have the intention that you need to take rest but have intention that you are going to wake up for Qiyammulail.

5) Don't be too comfortable or uncomfortable when you are going to the bed.

★Fluffy/Cosy bed or sleeping on the hard uncomfortable floor will not give you enough rest.

☆Instead, find a bed that is balanced.

6) Go to sleep in the state of Tahara/purity

By taking wudhu before going to sleep,

-You are doing another Sunnah.
-You are reminding yourself about your intention

7) Try not to eat or drink too much.

Ramadhan helps you to not eat/drink too much.  If, you are doing the opposite during Iftar, change yourself in this Ramadhan, with Allah’s permission.
