(1)Opening of the lecture for Khutbah 1:
ا إِنّ الْحَمْدَ لِلّهِ نَحْمَدُهُ وَنَسْتَعِيْنُهُ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُهُ وَنَعُوذُ بِالِ مِنْ شُرُوْرِ أَنْفُسِنَا وَمِنْ
سَيّئَاتِ أَعْمَالِنَا، مَنْ يَهْدِهِ الُ فَلَ مُضِلّ لَهُ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْهُ فَلَ هَادِيَ لَهُ.
وَأَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَ إِلَهَ إِلّ الُ وَحْدَهُ لَ شَرِيْكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنّ مُحَمّدًا عَبْدُه
وَرَسُوْلُهُ.
All praises due to Allah and as such we should praise him. We should seek his help, seek his forgiveness, we should seek refuge within the evil of our self, and the evil which result from our deeds. For whomsoever, Allah has guided, none can misguide. Whomsoever Allah has allowed to go astray, none can guide. I bear witness there is no god worthy of worship but Allah alone without any partner. Muhammad is last messenger of Allah
That the most truthful speech is that of Allah's Book (The Qur'an ) and that the best of guidance is that of Muhammad sws. The worst of evils are innovations (foreign to the true teachings of Islaam), and every innovated matter (in religion) is a Bid'ah, and every Bid'ah is a Dalalah (misguidance), and every Dalalah is in the Fire of Hell.
(1)Intoduction of Khutbah in regards of Dajjal :
Brothers and sisters, we continue and going to look at the true story of the Dajjal. And, in the previous khutbah, we spoke about the importance of knowing the Dajjal whereby Prophet Muhammad stressed the importance of this knowledge so much so, that he added a dua in our daily prayers. And, the Sahabah said, that he used to teach us this dua, the way he taught the verse of the Quran. This means that this is not something that is minor, insignificant which Prophet Muhammad mentioned but this is something he stressed.
And as we said in the previous khutbah that Prophet Muhammad said this will most difficult, stressed horrendous life a human kind will face from the time of the creation of Adam عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ until the end of the world.
(1)Misconception in regards of who Dajjal is :
So, we look at who was the individual was. And, we clarified in those description, given by Prophet Muhammad that Dajjal was a man. He was an individual and he cannot be re interpreted which some have done today that we can find in internet, those who claim that the Dajjal is United Kingdom, Britain as the protestants in 15th century claim that the Dajjal was the pope, the Head Of The Catholics.The Dajjal was a particular human being, at least, the Christians go it right that he was a man. Thought, it was wrong man, they were at least clear that the Dajjal was a man.
(1)Descriptions of Dajjal by Prophet Muhammed Seerah :
Prophet Muhammad after describing the features of his face, his neck, his built, how would he walk, and after saying all of these different things he went on say that there is particular individual amongst them by the name of Abdul Uzza ibn Katan who was from identified as the mustalak clan, Huzaa tribe, which was tribe existed in pre historic times. He was known to the person that is who the Dajjal looks most alike.
And, in his time, in Medina, there was individual in the name of Ibn Saiyad, a man where words spread in Medina that he was able to read the people’s minds. This is recorded in Sahih Al-Bukhari and Sahih Al-Muslim.
He was able to read people minds and Prophet Muhammad set off with `Umar ibn Al-Khattāb to meet him, he asked him to read what it is in his mind. Then, the man replied that Prophet Muhammad had “Ad-Dhur” , Prophet Muhammad had in his mind “Ad-Dhurran”. He got a piece of it. This indicate that he have been obviously working with which what me call as the supernatural forces.
But, we know that the supernatural forces are the forces of the Jin. And, when Prophet Muhammad confirms from that it is in fact it is Dajjal. But, suspicious occur in `Umar ibn Al-Khattāb and he ask the permission to kill him.
(1)Clarification of Dajja is:
And, the Prophet Muhammad has said, “If he was a Dajjal, you will not be able to kill him. And, if he wasn’t, I will be known to be killing my followers”. It is because he was the people of Medina and he was a Muslim. Or, he will be known for killing the people of Medina.
And, again this was a human being. Prophet Muhammad confirmed that he wasn’t in fact the Dajjal. If, Dajjal was not a person, this will not even be talked.
(1)More details of Dajjal by Tamim al-Dari experience:
After, this, one of the companion name of Tamim al-Dari , who was a former Christian and he converted to Islam, who has set off on the ship with the other companions to the far East.
The ship became wrecked on an Island. And, he had experience on the island when he came back where they eventually able to repair back the ship to Medina. He came to Prophet Muhammad and told him what he experienced in the island. Prophet Muhammad had announcement made in Medina where he call the people to the Masjid, and after he finish praying , he stood up and introduce them to Tamim al-Dari .
Prophet Muhammad told about him and relates him to his experience. This is the authentic tradition of Prophet Muhammad .
He goes on to explain that this is found in Sahih Muslim that they went on to the island after the shipwreck and they came across the beast that is covered in the hair. And, they could not determine from the hairiness which is the head and backside, they could not figure it out. They looked the same and this how it has been described.
And, they spoke it and it spoke them, it identifies itself as the Al-Jassas and it told them about someone who is in waiting for them in monastery. So, they went, taking all the precautions assuming that this something is devilish, evil and they came to monastery and they found a man.
The man who met the descriptions of what Prophet Muhammad gave of the Dajjal. And, he was chained to his arms, neck, feet, and shackle. And, he asked the questions and they answered, explaining who they are and where they are from etc. And, in the end, when they ask him, he replied “I am Al-Dajjal and a time will come, not too long from now, when I will be free.”. And, Tamim al-Dari hasn’t heard the descriptions of Prophet Muhammad gave about the Dajjal.
(1)Confirmation of Dajjal’s coming:
This is why Prophet Muhammad brought him. He was a convert to Islam and he hasn’t heard these descriptions of Dajjal. So, he have him saying to them what they say and what they experience because this is the confirmation to the people and it is not, the people will disbelieve Prophet Muhammad in anyway. But, it was just a further confirmation, of the Dajjal and, the information which he has already presented to this world. But, like the Gog and Magog, Ya'juj and Ma'juj, they are known to the people where they are exactly, it is unknown. And, the time where they will be released, it is with Allah. All we know that Dajjal is chained and his time will come. This is the information which Prophet Muhammad gave us.
(1)Clarification on the existence of Dajjal:
Some may ask how is that the Dajjal existed in the time of 1400 hundred years ago. So, let’s question these, how long Prophet Noah عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ has lived? How long the Satan, the Iblis has been living?. We could argue and discuss how Dajjal could live for so long. How it Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ is still alive? ; And, how he will come back ahead of the time. This is not our area for us to argue or debate about or try to interpret. It is what the Prophet Muhammad has told us about in this matter is true. The house of the matters is with Allah. There are so many things, that we do not know how and we do not need to get stuck on this little thing. It is a big thing in general of who is Dajjal is but the issue of him present even now is not a big issue.
Now, Prophet Muhammad had informed us that he would appear at a particular time and we spoke about that in the previous khutbah on regards on when the Dajjal appears. This is for us not have any confusion so that no one will say he is doing the stuff and attacking the world.
(1)Signs of upcoming of Dajjal:
There would be three signs before his coming. We said that the first sign was that one third of the earth, in the first year there will be rain without stop. The second sign is that in the second year, two third of the earth there will no rain. The third sign is that in the third year, there will be a drought throughout the world and no rain will fall into the earth.
It might be impossible for us now. But just, remember Sahara desert and other deserts, were once lushed with vegetation, they dig up all these areas, fossils of dinosaurs an others. All of these deserts were not deserts but rainforests.
So, all these can happen, and then know that the time will come where no rain will fall into the earth. That is the time.
(1)The first place that Dajjal enters:
Following that, he would be released from the island and he will make his way to Iran.
And, this is not special Dawah, Shiates. Yes, we know what Shiaism it and what it represents, and the treacherous role it play in the history of Islam, Muslims and continue to play.
But, Prophet Muhammad said specifically in a hadith narrated by Abu Bakr as-Șiddīq found in Tirmidhi, authentically narrated in which he said Prophet Muhammad has said that the Dajjal will appear from a land of the east, called Khurasan. Khurasan is the name of north eastern province of Persia. In the past, it is used to include the parts of Afghanistan, Tajikistan but mainly Iran. Now, it is encompassed into Iran. Iran divided up into three provinces, north, south and east.
And, he remains in that place where he would first be announced. His presence in known to the world, Dajjal has appeared in the Iran, Khurasan.
(1)Description of Dajjal’s companions:
And, he will be accompanied by companions who faces look flat beaten iron- this is how Prophet Muhammad described.
From these descriptions, people have said, in the 13 century that this is the Mongols because they came from the East, and they devastated the Muslim world, as they massacred the huge number. But, it wasn’t them.
(1)How Dajjal will gather his forces:
Furthermore, Prophet Muhammad has said, he will make contact with Muslim forces, between the Syria and Iraq. This is where his forces, those who follow him will come together at the beginning of the battle for the world, will take place.
(1)Details about Madhi:
The force he will struggle with will be the forces of Mahdi. The story of Mahdi is a true story and our children know the story of superman, Spiderman and all the man but they do now know the story of Mahdi.
But, the point is that, he will be the one that Allah will raise up as the leader for the Muslim Ummah in that period. He would reunite the Muslim world and become the leader for the Muslim states. The Khaliph, would be revived at that point of time.
(1)Who are the people constitute of Dajjal’s forces:
Anyways, his force will come into contact or conflict those of the Dajjal in the region of Iraq and Syria. Among the followers of Dajjal, Prophet Muhammad has mentioned that when he appears in Iran, Khurasan , 70 thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing their ritual shawls would join his forces.
But, it does not mean they represent they totality of his forces because others will join him all over the world. Muslims will join his forces.
(1)Dajjal gaining the control in the world:
Isfahan, for those of you who do not know it, it is a capital province of Iran. It is situated about 300 kilometres in south of Tehran, the capital of Iran today. It is once was the greatest city in the earth. It is not considered significance to the world today, but at one time it was a great city.
He would be from those initial conflicts with the Muslim forces and defeat those forces and he will spread his control and rank over much of the known world. What we know the world today much of it will be under his control.
(1)What will Dajjal bring along with him?:
And, we said that when he appeared, he will appear after the period of the drought. And, he will have with him, a mountain of bread and a mountain of meat which will follow him. Two mountains will follow him.
Of course, in your mind, you are trying to figure it out how the mountains going to follow him, don’t go into the house, leave the house to Allah.
But a mountain of bread and meat will follow him and remember he is coming at a time where there is mass starvation on the earth.
(1)How is Dajjal different from those who claim to be God ?:
He will call the people to believe in him as a God, Allah and accept him as their lord.
Now, we know that historically have done this before, which I have mentioned, in New York City, we have the father divine who claimed that he is god and he fed the poor during the deflection.
And, in the South India we have Sai Baba who claimed that he is god, incarnated, he fed the poor in hospitals and benefitted the people.
So, we had people at different points, who claim that there were gods but their claims did not affect the world. It might have affected the people of the region who were desperate and poor so that the number of them will follow them.
But they did not affect the world. It would be nothing compared to the trial of the Dajjal.
We have world starvation and those people who accept his call and believe in him, he will command the sky to rain for them. And, it will begin to rain. And, the earth will bear fruits, and for those still held out ,rejected him when he left the area, whatever they had, stored up to buy food etc., all of it will be gone.
Wherever he went or goes, he will command the earth to bring forth the treasures. The gold, silver and whatever treasure, the surface of the earth will come out and it will follow him. Prophet Muhammad has said, he will go across the earth, North, South, East and West like wind driven rain and entering all the cities of the earth.
(1)The warning of Dajjal by Prophet Muhammed :
He has warned us if we know Dajjal is coming, not to think that we could stand before him and resist him but to flee.
At that time if we hear he is coming, flee and don’t wait around, thinking that you can gather some people to gather, to kill him or whatever. But, run for your lives.
sk Allah سبحانه و تعالى to protect us from this period and if it occurs when we are living, that we take the advice of the Prophet Muhammad and flee from our lives where Allah make a path for our lives to save us from his trials.
And, that we are able to remain firm on our faith, on our knowledge who he is, who Allah is and to remain steadfast in the worship of Allah at that great trial and tribulations.
اَللَّهُـمَّ إِنيِّ أَعوُذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذاَبِ جَهَنَّمَ،وَمِنْ عَذاَبِ الْقَبْرِ وَمِنْ فِتْـنَةِ الْمَحْياَ
وَالْمَماَتِ وَمِنْ فِتْـنَةِ الْمَسيِحِ الدَّجاَّلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْمَأْثَمِ وَالْمَغْرَمِ
Allahumma inni a’udhu bika min ‘adhabi jahannam, wa min ‘adhabil-qabr, wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mamat, wa min fitnatil-masihid-Dajjal. Allahumma ‘inni ‘a’udhu bika minal ma’thami wal maghrami.
O Allah! I seek Your protection from the torture of hell, and I seek Your protection from the torture of the grave, and I seek refuge with You from the mischief of life and death, and I seek Your protection from the mischief of Dajjal pretending as Messiah. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from sin and from debt.
[Sahih al-Bukhari 2:102, Muslim 1:412, 588]
Prophet Mohammad used to read in every salah before ending the salah
(1)Preparation of upcoming of Dajjal:
When one of the companions of Prophet Muhammad asked him, “When will the hour come”. When will the final hour come in? Then, replied, “What have you prepared for it?”.
This is the lesson of what Prophet Muhammad has taught us about the time to come. That we need to take and this is the most important lesson.
In one hand, we can have accurate detail information of the future and of the events which must take place as those describe by Prophet Muhammad .
But the essence of the message being prepared and we are being prepared for that time, and in that preparation that is not something that we will happen when we hear drought is happening.
The preparation begins from now. Not like those people who will say the end of the world is next year. So then, the people start to gather the food and stick into their basements, bags etc. No, I do not need this. The preparation is spiritual preparation that we will have spiritual preparation to handle the trials that we will be facing in that period of time.
We should be preparing ourselves like what Prophet Muhammad has said by praying the farewell prayer. Now, our prayers should and each and single time when we pray, a farewell prayer, a prayer that will make us pray if it was known to us this will be our last prayer before we die. The way we pray at that time that is the goal for us to pray now. It is to make every prayer like that prayer.
(1)Trials of Dajjal:
Now, we have to understand that the trials of the time of one of the starvation, people needs of hunger will make them accept the Dajjal. And, it is also spiritual trial because he will go in different place and he approaches to people and say some to them if “Will you believe if I bring them to alive “-resurrect your mother and father.
And, people will say yes, “if you can resurrect my dead father and mother, then you have to be Allah because only Allah resurrect”. This is the delusion which will be caught up in. And, when they say, they believe in him (Dajjal) and he will bring the dead to alive. And, the people who know their mother and father, they will also see them in eyes. Prophet Muhammad said it is actual two jinns who take the form of the mother and father. The Jinns know how the mother and father look alike. They will say to the man or woman “Oh, my dear son believe in him, because he is Allah”. And, what people are going to do at that time?
Of, course people will forget that Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ brought people alive and this was his miracle by the power of Allah. The dead used to come to alive in the time of Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ by the command of Allah, and it is even recorded in the Torah that the earlier prophets had the same characteristic. So by power of Allah, it is possible. However, it is easier to forget when you see your dead parents alive in front you and talking to so, unless your faith is firm. If not, we will be finished and we will become among his followers.
(1)Earthquake in Medina:
Furthermore, the Prophet Muhammad has said, that he will enter every city in the world except the Mecca and Medina, those will be only cities in the Earth that he will be unable to enter. But he will be camped outside the Medina, and when people know he was there, three earthquakes will hit Medina one after another and 10 thousands of Medina will leave and join his forces.
(1)The importance of the firm belief in Islam:
So, know brother and sister, at that time that will be the major trial so only by the firm belief of Allah that firmly and deeply rooted that will drive us before the period to get us prepared before that period. That same Imaan will make us way to Jannah so this is what we should be working on from today. And, this is the example of Prophet Muhammad . And he is the example of imaan being manifested, ,living imman Prophet Muhammad has imaan in his deeds, speech and heart. And, it is because of the example he left and Allah has told us
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا لِيُطَاعَ بِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذْ ظَلَمُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ جَاءُوكَ
فَاسْتَغْفَرُوا اللَّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُوا اللَّهَ تَوَّابًا رَحِيمًا
And We did not send any messenger except to be obeyed by permission of Allah. And if, when they wronged themselves, they had come to you, [O Muhammad], and asked forgiveness of Allah and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance and Merciful.[4:64]
There isn’t messenger of Allah that is him and that we will ask Allah to bless him by saying,
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ
مَجِيدٌ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ
حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa'ali muhammad, kama sallayta `ala ali ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid, Allahumma barik `ala muhammadin wa'ali muhammad, kama barakta `ala ali ibrahim, innaka hamidun majid [An-Nasa'iy/ 1289, sahih]
O Allah: (please do) bless Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad. And send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, n the same way as You have blessed and conferred benedictions upon (Prophet) Abraham and the Household of Abraham You are verily worthy of all praise and full of all glory
(1)Closing Dua for khutbah 1:
We ask Allah to provide us the best of this world and the hereafter. And, to forgive our sins and forgive our error in the past and to bring us back to path (sirathul mustakim , الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ). We ask Allah to bless our families and children , to forgive those of our relatives those passed away and to protect the Ummah from the forces that seeks to destroy. We ask Allah to have movement for awakening all over the world, and give those movements success. And give those movements to come back to establish the rule of Allah. We ask Allah to forgive those rulers who have misruled the nation and we ask Allah, to give them those around them to guide according to the way Allah prescribe. We ask Allah to allow the Ummah to have firm belief in the faith and to leave this dunya for لا إله إلا إلا الله

(2)Introduction for Khutbah 2:
Brother and sisters, in the previous khutbah, we are looking or continue to look at Dajjal and his story did not end where we ended but it continues. We said that we know of his coming by the major global sign, drought in every corner of the earth for one year. Over two thirds of the earth in year before will face drought and one third of the earth will face drought in the year before that. . Until these signs appear, anyone claim for Dajjal, if it is not aligned with the hadith that we have presented , know that there were false and know for certainty that it were false.
(2)Prophet Muhammed assignment of Dajjal:
Prophet Muhammad was given in assignment regards the Dajjal, which was not given to the prophets before him. Prophet Muhammad said all of the prophets warned the followers about Dajjal and his coming.
But all were the prophets were sent to the particular people, places and period of time. So, the message they brought whereby the warning of the Dajjal was in part became distorted in time. When times passed addition and de addition made till the message became so distorted that another prophet lead them. So, it is not surprising the, information concerning Dajjal is found in Christian, Jewish scriptures is garbled, unclear. There will be names pop out, some descriptions but vague descriptions that is incomprehensible. It is so weird and strange that people have interpreted in no different ways.
Whereby, the job of Prophet Muhammad being the last messenger of Allah, was to make the story of Dajjal so clear, precise that no one followed would have doubting of Dajjal on who he is and his coming until the Dajjal appears. So, Prophet Muhammad left for clear descriptions until the colour of his eyes.
That is why we should not be deluded, fooled, misguided by the modern interpretation which you might find in the youtube from this speaker or that speaker. We have enough clear pictures by Prophet Muhammad and we do not need look anywhere else.
So, the science of his coming is clear, we talked about in the previous khutbah, of the powers which Allah has given to him.
(2)Dajjal being Anti-Christ:
He is the Anti-Christ so he would things just like Prophet Jesus عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ, the messiah, the true messiah. He would bring life to the dead, bring out the treasures of the earth, and cause the sky to rain at his command. It is actually Allah is the one who causes it.
And, he will have it with him as we said mountain of meat and mountain of bread as the basics which are following. Wherever, he goes in the earth where people will be starving. And, he will call those who believe in him to be benefitted by what it appears to them as miracles. Not only the sky will rain but also the plants will grow before their eyes. It will bear fruits and their few remaining animals will become plentiful. The sheep will be fat and filled with milk.
He will be in different places of the Earth due to his power of bringing the dead people to alive will cause the young men and then chop them in half and walk into the halves.
In order to be clarified, this is not life the magicians we see, where people put in the box and cut into half by having fake feet in the other half. Or, somebody is cuddled up so that they move their foot. However, these were tricks.
But, for Dajjal case, he will really chop them into half and he will walk in between halves and he will turn them to come. They will turn to them, coming and smiling for him. He will be giving life to the death.
Furthermore, he will have with him, the gardens which appear garden in paradise. However, we perceive the gardens of paradise and he will have something with him what should be the garden of paradise. But, of course, we have not seen the garden of paradise and whatever we imagined, it is not is. However, we have still in mind when we are reading the Quran verses and prophetic narrations so we have in our mind, vague idea of paradise. So, there will appear to him like what is in our mind for garden of paradise.
As well as, flaming pits from hellfire and from both of these the flow of river. The river of paradise which will appear cool, white and from the pits of hell there will be liquid fire.
(2)An incident that will happen outside the Medina:
And, when he comes outside Medina, an incident will take place. An incident which Prophet Muhammad put special emphasize on.
As, we know that he cut the people into halves and put them together back. But, he will also appear outside the Medina, said by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, a man from among the believers will come to him and he will be met by on forces of Dajjal.
And, they will ask “where were you headed?” And then, he will reply “I am heading to the one who is appeared”. They will say to him “Don’t you believe in our lord.” And, he will reply, “Our lord is well known”. And, they will say “kill him” but some of among them will say to others “Didn’t our forbid us from killing anyone without his knowledge”.
So, they will take him to the Dajjal and when the believer sees them, he will proclaim to people this is the Dajjal whom messenger of Allah has mentioned, he will say “I will order to slay on his stomach his head smashed”, his back and stomach will be severely be beaten. And, then, he will be asked by Dajjal “Don’t you believe in me?” Then he will reply that he is the false messiah. The Dajjal will then order to saw into half from his head to the crouch, then he will walk into two halves and he will say “arise”.
Then, it will arise, then it will be asked before him “Do you believe now?” The young man will reply “My certainty about you has just increased”. “O people he will not able to do this after he has done to me”. The Dajjal will then grab him to cut his throat but his entire neck will be covered by band of copper which will prevent him from doing so. And, then the Dajjal will grab him by his hand and feet and throw him to the river of fire, on what it appears to be a pit of hell. And, he will be consumed in the fire and of course people will think that he is destroyed.
However, Prophet Muhammad has informed us that the pit of fire and that river of fire are actually from the paradise. And, that is when he is thrown to where it appeared to be a pit of fire; it is in fact falling into paradise. S
o, if you see Dajjal or you appeared to be caught in the situation and you have nowhere to run, then know that you run for is what it appears to be fire, of course the imaan that it will take at that time is not easy. The reason is that fire will appear as real it can be.
Prophet Muhammad has said “This young man is greatest martyr in the sight of the lord of all the worlds.”
(2)Clarification to the Youth:
However, as we said before, the story of great martyr should not embolden our youth to think, that if Dajjal comes, they are the ones. Prophet Muhammad has said, if heard “he is coming, then run, flee. Don’t think that you could stand before him, run and flee.”
(2)Details about the rain during the Dajjal times:
His rain will be for forty day. So, when Prophet Muhammad informed the companions the length of the rain for forty days. He went on said, the first day of rain of the Dajjal will be equivalent to a year. There will be rain a day that will lasting for a year time. The second day it will be length of the month from most of us is that something strange. But, of course in the northern hemisphere close to the North Pole, they do have six month of what it appears to be daylight and six months of night. So, it isn’t that strange.
Of course, when Prophet Muhammad revealed this to his companions, it was strange, because it was something that is so far that they could not imagine it. Nobody know and been to the North Pole and come back.
So, the second days will the length of the month. And, the rest would be like rest of the days. The third day will be the length of the week. So, it will be length of the year, month and week and the rest will be like other days.
(2)Importance of the Solat:
When the companions heard this from Prophet Muhammad the first question that they asked is not same as what we ask is that “How that would be?” Is it like Earth would stop spinning, and we want to know the details on how could it that be.
No, their question was “how would he pray on that day and how we will make Solat?’.That was the most important to them and not on how it will happen because if Prophet Muhammad has said, it will happen and it is not important for details.
Their first thought, how we are going to make Solat. And, the Prophet Muhammad told them, estimate the time.
He said that in the seventh century. There were no clocks but in his statement was guidance of time when we will be able to estimate the time very accurately which is our time and beyond. We have watches now where all the prayers have been set up. It would even ring that it is time for fajr. These are our times.
From that statement of Prophet Muhammad , scholars went Muslims reached those regions, Alaska, the first Muslims who reached Alaska. Now, they are faced with 6 months of day and 6 months of night. What to do? Finland?. So, they ask the Muslim scholars and they went back to this hadith of Dajjal and use it as the basis, of determining what to do in those times to estimate it.
It is to estimate according to what time? The scholars have differed in what to choose. However, in reality, that there is no clear definition, it is sufficient to estimate. It is to estimate by looking at the nearest country, or city which has daily sunrise and sunset. Or, you can estimate according to the time in Mecca and that is sufficient.
But, as I said what was most important to them, how are we going to determine the time for prayers in that time. This is what should be our first concern. How we are going to determine the time for the prayers? We don’t have 6 months of day and night or anything near that. Some of us may have come from places whereby day comes very long or night comes very long or the day comes very short and you may have question. But, for all of us or most of us, we travel by plane, some people if they are travelling to UK or to KL, Kuala Lumpur, Paris or Canada, they don’t even think how we are going to pray. After, they have gotten there, and then they pray whatever they have missed.
And, this is what they feel it is acceptable. And, of course it is not. This is not acceptable. We have the means to estimate the time.
When the person sick in hospital, is there concession given to him to pray all his prayers at one time? No, he is person where you can say his case justified because it is difficult for him to move, make wudhu,etc. But, he is still requiring praying on time.
He may join prayers and if it difficult for him to maintain the 5 daily prayers then at least he can pray 3 times. Fajr cannot be joined with anything. But Zuhr and Asr can be joined in either the time time of Zuhr or Asr. This applies for Maghrib and Isyak, can be either prayed in Maghrib or Isyak. But, he is required to pray. It is not like at Fajr that he prays all five or Isyak that he prays all five.
This is not the way, he or she has to try to best of his ability, to pray on time. The reason is that Allah has said,
إِنَّ الصَّلاَةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوتًا
“Indeed prayer for the believers has set on fixed times”
فَإِذَا قَضَيْتُمُ الصَّلاَةَ فَاذْكُرُواْ اللّهَ قِيَامًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَى جُنُوبِكُمْ فَإِذَا اطْمَأْنَنتُمْ فَأَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاَةَ إِنَّ الصَّلاَةَ كَانَتْ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ كِتَابًا مَّوْقُوتًا
When you have finished As-Salat (the prayer - congregational), remember Allah standing, sitting down, and lying down on your sides, but when you are free from danger, perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as- Salat). Verily, the prayer is enjoined on the believers at fixed hours. 004:103
This is the first pillar of Islam that will be asked during the Day of Judgement. It is our Solat, so we should particular care to protect our prayers and ensure that we do them we do on the prescribed times.This was concern of the Sahaba and this should be our concern too.
(2)Dua from Dr.Bilal Philips :
I ask Allahسبحانه و تعالى to bring back Solat as the most important deed in our lives and forgive us for what has happened due to our negligence. I ask Allah to make Solat great in our minds, hearts so that we could develop true love for it so it does become for like how Prophet Muhammad in a moment of peace. I ask Allah سبحانه و تعالى to spread this awareness to our family, neighbors and relatives. And, to make this again as foundation for the Muslim Umman ,arise its role as the best of nation, and to spread the message of Islam to the world. I will ask Allah to forgive me and you. And, I seek to remind ourselves about forgiveness for only he can forgive sin.
(2)End of Period of Dajjal :
At the end of the period , the end of period of Dajjal, where he will be sieged by the forces of believers. There will be forces to fight him and his forces throughout the earth wherever Dajjal goes he find forces. Sometimes, they will combine or they will be separated but he will be fighting with them throughout the earth. Though he dominates the earth, he will not dominate every square inch of the earth. So, the believers will fight with him.
(2)Madhi forces :
The main forces will be fighting with him will be under the leadership of Mahdi.
When we spoke about the coming of Dajjal in our the very first Khutbah, we have mentioned that he will come at a time the appearance of Mahdi. The struggle of Muslim and non-Muslim world will manifest in major war. And the forces of Muslims were be led by Mahdi.
And, the details of the Mahdi which we spoke then, I will not talk about the details now, but the point is that towards the end of the rule, the last days of the rule of Dajjal, he will be able to siege the forces of Mahdi.
The Muslims forces led by Mahdi in Jerusalem and this are where they will be besieged, surrounded and Dajjal will be at the gates of Jerusalem and they will be at the gates to finish him off.
(2)Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام arrival:
At that point, Prophet Isa/Jesus عليهم السلام will be sent back down from heavens by Allah. He will be wearing two white robes and his hands will be resting in the wings of two angels. From, there which is Damascus, he will head to Jerusalem.
And, he will arrive there at Fajr, the morning. And, at that time, Muslims will be preparing the Iqamat is given and the Mahdi will step forward to lead the prayers. Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام will join in the front row. And, when the Mahdi realises that Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام is among them, he will go back for Prophet Jesus عليهم السلامto lead the prayers.
But, Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام will say no and push him back to the front to lead the Solah. As, I said, he عليهم السلام will be saying “the Iqamat was made for you to lead”.
And, Mahdi will lead Solat Fajr. Then, Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام will say to the believers to open the doors of Jerusalem.
Of course, they will hesitate as they are being be sieged and opening the doors means that letting the forces to come in. However, , Prophet Jesus عليهم السلام will join them and the forces of Dajjal is pouring in and engaged in the combat with the Muslim forces and the Dajjal will be in the midst, he will see ,
Prophet Isa عليهم السلام when he sees him, he knows that it is the end. He will start to disintegrate from the group and turn and run. Prophet Muhammad has said, if he will run on until he disintegrate from the group dissolving the way of how salt will dissolve in the water and this how Prophet Muhammad has described it.
But, Prophet Isa عليهم السلام will run through the crowd after him, and catch him before that it takes place. And, Prophet Isa عليهم السلام will take his spear and plunge into him and lift the spear him with the blood of Dajjal , to confirm the end of Dajjal. And, of course for the forces of Dajjal, it will be the end of them. They will turn and run, flee because everything is dependent on belief that Dajjal is the god.
Do remember the fitnah of Dajjal is not only in the false prophets; his fitnah will be false belief on concerning Prophet Isa عليهم السلام. The Christians believe that Prophet Isa عليهم السلام is a god and their belief he is god. But, he عليهم السلام isn’t. Dajjal will come saying that “I am the god”. And, of course those who accepted that from Prophet Isa عليهم السلام will accept him as their Christ. The reason is that Christians also believe that Prophet Isa عليهم السلام will come back. So, they will accept him and join his forces.
The Jews had been rejecting, Prophet Isa عليهم السلام as the messiah. And, they have been haunting for the messiah to come back. If you ask any Jews today, about the messiah, they will say he is coming. However, they will not know who he is. Most of them will join the forces of the Dajjal.
And, it this the time where the forces of Dajjal are being eliminated from the famous hadith of Prophet Muhammad in which he said “Allah will defeat the forces that join the Dajjal, they will not find refuge in anything from Allah’s creations. Everything stone, tree, wall or animal except the boxthorn tree (because it is their tree) will be made by Allah speaking to the forces of Mahdi, and Prophet Jesus عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ that “Oh slave of Allah, O Muslims there is treacherous Jew hiding behind me come and kill him”.”
(2)Misconception of the Hadith & Quran:
Of course some non-Muslims will say that, this hadith is used to show the intolerance of Muslims, so look at their belief, the stones, trees are going to call them to kill every Jews. And, of course this is not the true. This is the context of the hadith which is made. Those who had join the force of Al-Dajjal who have been slaughtering the people just like in the verses of the Quran where Allah say , it is in regards to the disbelievers,
وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ
“Kill them wherever you find them”
وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَأَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَخْرَجُوكُمْ ۚ وَالْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِ
وَلَا تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتَّىٰ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِيهِ ۖ فَإِنْ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْۗ
كَذَٰلِكَ جَزَاءُ الْكَافِرِينَ
And kill them wherever you overtake them and expel them from wherever they have expelled you, and fitnah is worse than killing. And do not fight them at al-Masjid al- Haram until they fight you there. But if they fight you, then kill them. Such is the recompense of the disbelievers.[2:191]
But, they will say look at this, Muslims were commanded in their holy book that to kill every non-Muslims wherever they can find them. This is the context of war and you are in the battle field. This is not the place for sympathy and this is war, it is matter of life and death. So, when you find the enemy, you have to catch and kill him. Not all of them but those are fighting with you. Those who are engaged in fighting with you, you do not hesitate, go and kill them. This is not general command for the Muslims to find any disbeliever and kill them. This is a distortion.
(2)Resuming the topic to end of Dajjal:
So, at that moment, when Prophet Isa عليهم السلام completes the killing of the Dajjal and those who are with Mahdi, those are joined forces with him, who survived the Dajjal war, they will come in front of him عليهم السلام, and he عليهم السلام will anoint their faces, and tell them their grades in the paradise.
While, this was taking place, Allah will reveal a verse to Prophet Isa عليهم السلام a revelation which he said “I have raised the people of my nation that no one can fight. Therefore, gather my slaves at At-Tur”.
At-Tur is a mountain, the one we know where Allah spoke to Prophet Moses عليهم السلام and there is also another mountain in or near Jerusalem which is called At-Tur. Which of these two? Allah knows the best.
But he will be commanded to take the forces that have been fighting against Dajjal, to flee to At-Tur. And, those will join them on the way.
(2)Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ reacting to the Gog and Magog
It is because after that revelation, Allah will then allow the Gog and Magog, Ya'juj and Ma'juj to come on that day to the Earth. This will be the people where no one can defeat.
Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ have been defeated the Dajjal, greatest trial in the Earth from coming of Prophet Adam عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ to the end of the world. Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ finished him with the permission of Allah.
But, Allah then permits forces to come among human mankind and devastate them to such a degree that Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ will be unable to fight them.
Allah has told him, “You cannot stop them”.
(2)Reasons for Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ not able to fight with Gog and Magog:
In order to remove any possibility, that they could again think Prophet Jesus عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ is a god. This is because after defeating the Dajjal who claimed that he is a god and he عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ given the miracles that were given before.
It is conceivable that some people will fall into that belief in fact Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ in fact is really a god, the true Jesus but not the false Jesus. So, Allah removed any shadow of doubt from the people in that regard. Prophet Isa عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ after haunting down, the Dajjal now has to flee, run with the forces to the fortress or barricade area to protect him and his forces, the followers of Mahdi from the forces of Gog and Magog.
(2) Closing of Khutbah 2 & warning for us:
Prophet Muhammad gave us these descriptions and the story doesn’t end here, in the coming Khutbah we will complete it.
But, he gave us these descriptions and told us that when people no longer speak about it, beware the time is close.
When, the Dajjal is not spoken about in mimbar, I will ask the question to you “How many back home heard about a Khutbah regarding Dajjal for the last ten years? Very few people could say, “Yes, I have heard one”.
This means the time is getting close. I will not say whether it is five years, or ten years. No, we cannot put numbers in it, but know that there is timing close.
